Learning

The RAPTC Museum is keen to play an active role in the local community and recognises the importance of its role as an educational and social resource for schools and community groups. The Museum’s collection links to curriculum requirements on History, Sports and Fitness.

Group visits to the Museum can be arranged which include a talk by the Curator, tour of the Museum and chance to handle some objects from the collection. These are suitable for schools, cadets, scouts and other similar groups.

Reminiscence sessions for adults are also available both in the Museum and locations in the local community, involving a talk by the Curator and opportunities for object handling.

All sessions are free of charges and can be arranged for evenings or weekends, Contact the Curator to enquire further or arrange a visit.

The Museum also runs a number of specialist learning sessions which are available for school and youth groups. These can be run in school hours or evenings and weekends.
