Royal Army Physical Training Corps Museum

Back after uncertain times

So after a short period of opening following the lengthy covid lock down, the Museum was frustratingly forced to close again so that rewiring work could take place. That however, is now completed and the Museum is one again open to the public! Hopefully in the next three weeks the last of the Covid restrictions will be lifted and the Museum will be once again able to fully reengage with the public. We are already exploring means of taking the Museum out into the community so keep an eye out for us in the local area over the Summer.

We have also expanded the collection with a few fantastic new items from some important figures in the Corps, so its definitely worth paying a visit to have a look at these. You can see a preview in the new acquisitions section of this website. We will hopefully also be adding some exciting new features to this website in the coming weeks.

The Museum has also had a spring clean during our rewiring closure, so the storeroom, gallery and office areas have never looked better, we even got the chance to add a few licks of paint to some of the more faded areas. So come along to the Museum, we are really looking forward to welcoming you all back!
