The RAPTC Museum growing

Several months into the year and the RAPTC Museum has started to build successfully on 2018.  We have seen a rise in visitor numbers and some further development of the collection.

The Museum has been working with other military museums in the Corps Museums Network on several joint projects, some of which will see the light of day at the end of the year.

The network raised funds for a conservator to view the collection and im pleased to say he pronounced it largely in good shape. A few improvements to the building will hopefully be taking place over the coming months.

We have also been developing our ties with local community groups, particularly the EDGE project, which will see a number of events for young people at the Museum. We are hoping to develop these ties still further over the next year.

The Museum will also be operating a stall at some local events in the summer. If you have an event you think it would be suitable for us to attend then please get in touch.

Our fantastic volunteers are still at work digitising and cataloguing the collection as well as producing some great digital clips of the Corps which will be going on display in the Museum very soon.
