Successful grant

I'm delighted to say that the Museum was successful in its grant application with SEMDP to fund a new museum website. This will be much more modern than the existing version and will hopefully be much easier to find on search engines.

It will also incorporate a digital walkthrough of the Museum, allowing visitors to make a virtual tour as well as zoom in on particular objects. We think this will be a really useful way of keeping in contact with all of our supporters whilst we remain closed owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. Arrangements are being made to set up the new website and we are hopefull that will come into being in October.

In the meantime, the Museum now has an Instagram account which can be found here . This will be a bit different from our existing social media accounts as rather than focusing on Corps history/what the Museum's doing, it will comprise artistic photographs of objects from the collection and archives. This is starting from scratch so we are currently at a very low number of followers, so we would be very grateful if you could join them.

It is very frustrating still being closed to the public and the museum looks very lonely without visitors but at least these new digital options allow us to have some contact with our supporters and let them to enjoy the collection. Here's hoping we can welcome you back in the flesh soon.
